Luggage
Its nothing quite like an airport rush,i have never brought mysef to really decide if i hate or love it. my anxiety is always through the roof, always checking to make sure my passport didnt develope wings and fly out of my bag . But after being fortunate enough to travel a couple of times in recent months after a long hiatus .. ( i trully believe my passport forgot i exist it had been 2 yearts ) i had to develope habits to put me at ease while i prepare, during and after the flight. if you are a first time flyer or really just a nervous wreck like me here are a few things i alsways do and pack to feel somewhat secure miles above sea level. 1.get some comfortable shoes, i love boots down but everywhen i wear a pair to the airpot i have to pass through TSA twice, and i they feel very heavy after my commute (i am always trying to save some luggage space by wearing the heavy things..... ). i have found switching it up for more comfy shoes soooo helpful.

2.while still on what to wear, i am a firm believer that how you dress will always affect your mood. and because of that.. i NEVER play about my airport fits. i am not ashamed to state i spend about just 20 minutes packing for a whole trip but what i am wearing to and from the airport... yah we need that disected . i need options, play various senarios its a full time job i cannot be caught looking a mess in the terminal. This has honestly helped improve my relationship with the airport...(its been soar since they refuse to develope ways for us to travel with full size perfume in 2025 while people live on the moon smh). i always love what i am wearing and the compliments..... ohh they keep me fuelled . i never know how to act after.
3.Luggage is also a hude deal for when you fly. whilst i agree there are heavier world problems that require our attention, (yes facsicm is actually on the rise) good luggage is one thing we should also invest in. a reliable carryon is such a life saver. getting one that easily matches your vibe, easily noticable (incase you have to check it in when the flight is full ..... my eyes are on you american airlines) you want to be able to differentiate it from soemone elses. i love to carry a briefcase if i am going on a work trip for my medications, vitamins , jewelry , passport, wallet and checkbook but a tote for personal travel.
4. if you are checking in your luggage, kindly take pictures of it and have documentation of what is in it just incase it goes missing, this is trully one of my biggest fears and i am glad i just get to write about it and never live it.the pictures and documentation can help with the claim report at the airlines.
5.Always check if the items you are moving with are legal in the destination you headed to, yes some of the everyday items you so trully enjoy could have restrictions and serious repacations if possessed in other areas of the world, yes even if its the same country... different providences can have different legislations. a quick google search will save you soo much.
6.Always check in the day before on your most used device, this will help you secure your seat (dont be like me who missed check in by 4 minutes... and the other flight was 4 hours away, and after waiting that long it also got delayed). checking in on your phone also gives you access to timely communication for example changes in gates and flight delays get sent direct to you and you dont have to claim missing an announcement.
Lastly be kind, the people working at these airports are seeing millions of people a day, that is way too much human interaction. its almost impossible to effectively speak to everyone directly so ask politely,(if you didnt already know, the airport is the last place you should lose your cool at, they do not play) say hi to whomever flies in the sit next to you and dont forget to take that aerial view snap.
nice travels.
