Halloween is a hotly debated topic that often divides opinion especially when it comes to Ugandan house holds.
People love to drag on and about what they think it actually means and all sought of things...
But Halloween is actually as old as time traced from way back during the Celtics era. It was a festival locally known as the Samhain fest that would be celebrated as people dressed up ghosts because they believed that the souls of those that had departed where looming the earth at that particular time of the year ( end of the year).
Over time the famous holiday has taken on new and more exciting traditions.... trick or treating where many people get to pull pranks and get candy , Watching scary movies , visiting haunted houses for parties and many of the like....
It doesn't even involve just dressing up scary anymore people now get to dress up like others lets say celebrities or any famous acts they know and admire including book characters. So its needless to say that Halloween is a holiday of self expression..... getting to dress and act like something or someone after 366 days is fun and I love how Ugandans have caught up on the fest... we all know no one parties like a Ugandan...(remember that song party after party)
