4tips on how to become a celebrity stylist

......Its 2021 and fashion is one of the most sought after industries by young adults as they decide which career they want to take on in life. If you're reading this it means you're a part of the many asking how do i become a stylist, designer, personal shopper, model, merchandiser, blogger and so on and i cant wait to share all the knowledge i have gathered especially after i sat down with Mulumba Charles, creative director of mulc ug, a contemporary luxury brand as well as a stylist, designer, image consultant and former model. We spoke about the ups and downs of getting and marking your spot in this ever evolving industry (you may need to save this for later or share it with a friend).
*1. You dont neccessarily have to go to fashion school. (I mean have u seen those commas in the tution)* Mulunji shared with me that most of the successful fashion entreprenuers didnt necessarily study the art in school which drives us to the most important step and i know this is going to sound cliche but passion. Apparently passion accounts for over 50% of success in arts so having passion will help you look for ways of succeding and never giving up on your goal. **2.Give yourself time.* See; the sun and the moon both shine at different times dont let other peoples timelines rush you. *_3. Enroll for small online courses._* After you have established your sense as a stylist it's important that you get some notes from professionals on how things are done. These could be online and during your free days if those exist *4. You need to make friends in the industry.* The only way people are going to know about you is through your friends so make friends with fellow stake holders in the industry. Now this could be hard because as Mulumba agreed with during our conversation, getting into circles of already established creatives is hard so dont be watered down when you're rejected. If anything form your own. *5. Lastly, ask for help* When you feel over whelmed about a piece or project ask for help from those that are experienced. dont forget to use social media to promote your craft and also never give up on your dream...
